A Second Hand French Style Coffee Table Gets A Paris Inspired Makeover
As promised, here is another French inspired furniture makeover post for all you French Country enthusiasts. Today I am going to treat you to a Paris inspired French Provincial coffee table makeover that will make your toes curl. I wanted a new coffee table for my living room. I had grown tired of my existing aqua blue coffee table and wanted a change.
I have been slowly moving away from the Country Cottage theme in my living room while embracing a more French Country style over the past year. I wanted a coffee table with feminine lines and found this French Provincial style coffee table at a local consignment shop. I loved its curves and it was the perfect scale for the space. It was also solid wood. BINGO!
And So The French Inspired Coffee Table Makeover Begins
I brought it home and gave it a few coats of gorgeous grey paint with a white color wash overcoat.
I gave the coffee table a light distressing to bring out the details and its lovely curves.
I sketched out a French inspired label from The Graphics Fairy overlapping the Eiffel Tower on the top of the table and hand painted the design in a dark grey paint.
I love how my Paris inspired French Provincial coffee table turned out. With a few accessories added, it fits beautifully in my living room.
On one end of the French coffee table I placed a pink Eiffel Tower and vintage book bundle…
And the other end features a floral arrangement, candle and glittered starfish on top of a pile of books. I love using trays in my designs. They are perfect for anchoring any group of decorative objects.
This coffee table makeover was fun to do and I love how it looks in my home. The coffee table blends really well with the French inspired upcycled dresser from my previous post. My French Country inspired living room is starting to take shape now.
