Dollar store crafts have become really popular now. Recently I have been seeing TONS of dollar store craft projects on YouTube and Social Media so today I wanted to share my own dollar store craft project! This is a simple one but it looks really great.
I found this sweet cardboard Flower Market Sign at my local Dollar General store for $1.
I wanted to make it look a little more substantial. I had a distressed, weathered looking wooden board in my garage. Sometimes it pays off to be a hoarder! I have a hard time throwing things out.
I used clear Gorilla adhesive glue to attach the sign to the front. You could use hot glue, but Gorilla glue has a stronger hold. You could easily use E6000 glue but honestly, my favorite adhesive glue is Amazing Goop. That stuff really IS amazing. It has the best hold out of all the glues I have used.
I put a quart of paint on the sign to weigh it down a bit and let it dry overnight.
I added a jute string hanger on the back and that was it! A very simple dollar store craft project!
Creating A Focal Point With Dollar Store Crafts…
Now to put it all together. I found this adorable enamelware shelf at a local consignment shop. It has been sitting in my garage for a couple of years.
I hung it on the wall in my country garden inspired powder room and added a few painted terracotta pots filled with faux wildflowers.
Next, the Fresh Flower Market sign was hung above it. It looks so cute in my little powder room!
