Summer is rolling right along and with the Fourth Of July coming up in a few days I thought it would be nice to share my vintage inspired Patriotic Fourth of July Tablescape. I love incorporating a touch of vintage into my decorating schemes and this table dressed for Independence day is no different.
Decorating A Vintage Inspired Patriotic Fourth Of July Tablescape
If you are hosting a holiday or special event and don’t have much money to spend on decorations, focus on creating a beautiful, eye catching tablescape.I started creating this fun tablescape with a vintage red and white checked tablecloth as the base, and added four red, white and blue place mats with a nautical twist at each place setting.
I set the table with mismatched Country Red and American flag plates, vintage glassware, fabric napkins and everyday cutlery in a criss cross pattern.
I love these primitive star embroidered country napkins. They are so perfect for a country home.
As a centerpiece and focal point, I filled two vintage milk glass bud vases with small American flags and glittered star picks.
I added a glittered Patriotic Mason Jar Candle Holder to the center of the table. This will create a romantic glow when the sun goes down.
At each setting I placed a handmade vintage Victorian Patriotic treat cup filled with starlight candies. These sweet little cups make great favors for company and they look great on a table.
This vintage inspired patriotic Fourth of July tablescape can be created inside for an intimate gathering or outside for an Independence Day picnic in the country. It is cozy and inviting and will give your guests a warm welcome to your summer celebration. Decorating for any party or event should be just as important as the menu and entertainment. Start with a basic theme in mind and build upon that. Incorporate things you already own into the decorating scheme. Use vases, tablecloths and dinnerware from your collection when creating attractive tablescapes. Dress it up with purchased or handmade decorations for a personal touch.
Your guests will appreciate your effort and compliment you on how lovely everything looks. Trust me.
