A Vintage Inspired Valentine’s Day Display For My Kitchen

It seems like Christmas just happened yesterday and here we are looking at Valentine’s Day coming up already. Still trying to catch my breath from the crazy Christmas season, I don’t go crazy decorating for Valentine’s Day or anything. But today I wanted to share with you the one area that I do decorate. Let’s explore my vintage inspired Valentine’s Day display for my kitchen!

This display is a little bit updated from last year’s design so I thought I would share. My pink Hoosier cabinet in my kitchen is the perfect spot for the vintage style Valentine’s Day decor that I have. I always start my display with my pink tabletop Christmas tree. I love this little tree because it makes a nice focal point. It is decorated with glittered hearts, vintage Victorian style ornaments, baubles and pink fairy lights that work on a timer. The tree is finished off with one of my Valentine’s Day Heart Tree toppers.

For a tree skirt I just used a piece of red and white polka dotted fabric that I had in my stash. The little gift boxes were a thrift store find that I decorated with ribbon.

Little Valentine Gift Idea!

A little Valentine’s Day themed Christmas tree surrounded by little gift boxes would make a festive display idea for a classroom or office! Filled with chocolates or treats, they would make wonderful little gifts for children or co-workers.

The vintage inspired Valentine’s Day decorations you see here were purchased at Hobby Lobby. I love tucking little pieces in with my every day vintage and farmhouse kitchen decor because it makes holiday decorating easier and lets me enjoy my every day decor even more. As a result, I didn’t have to pack up and put away much at all.

The adorable Annalee Valentine mouse doll is new this year and was found at Home Goods. They usually get a nice selection of Annalee dolls in for each holiday. I love them. The vintage Valentine Kitty pillow is a new pillow design for me this year. I made mine a little smaller than what I offer in the shop so it would fit nicely on the shelf.

I finished off my Valentine’s Day arrangement off by tucking in silk roses here and there.

This is pretty much all I do for Valentine’s Day in my home. Perhaps next year I will also decorate my mantel. Each Christmas I spend three full days decorating and three full days undecorating. I love it but it is a lot of work so my one little box of Valentine’s Day decorations is refreshing to me. I like to keep it uncomplicated. Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? Do you go all out or keep it simple? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Decorating!
