An Old Dresser Repurposed

Hi All,
I have been so busy with work this week and time for blogging has gotten away from me. I thought it would be fun to revisit an old post featuring a favorite upcycled furniture project of mine.
I picked up this old dresser at my favorite thrift shop back in 2010. I had it sitting in my garage a while so I can’t remember how much I paid for it, maybe $20? Anyhoo, the two bottom drawers were not functioning but I loved the lines the piece had. I knew it had potential and a couple of broken old drawers couldn’t scare me off.

I removed the bottom drawers and added two shelves. I gave it a new paint job in crisp white and added a cute little navy blue gingham curtain to cover the new shelves.

This cute as can be Repurposed Dresser is now a Buffet that sits perfectly in the bay window of my dining room.  It gave me the extra storage I needed for my overflow of tablecloths and huge collection of dishes.

I think this little upcycling project turned out quite well and the process was well worth it. Just check out the before and after…..

The next time you are out treasure hunting think twice before you pass up an old dresser with a few broken drawers. With a little creativity you can repurpose it into something great!

The little skirt makes it totally cute! I've been meaning to add a modesty skirt to my own computer desk to hide the computer bits!

    Lisa,
Love how you added the little 'skirt' to the bottom of the dresser.
    Off to see more.
