An Elegant Living Room Mood Board Inspired By Arhaus Furniture Company
My own decorating taste has always revolved around the coziness of country style for years but as a decorator I admire a variety of decorating styles. Years ago I was heavily into traditional country “prim” style decor and gradually my home transitioned to a more shabby chic cottage style. Lately I have embraced the French Country look. The truth is, my home is always changing as my tastes evolve. One thing that stays with me when designing a space is the feeling of nostalgia and warmth. A room just has to have these elements for me to feel comfortable.
I am also drawn to elegance with a vintage feel. One of my favorite stores to visit whenever I am in Raleigh is the Arhaus furniture gallery in the Crabtree Valley mall. The first time I walked into this store I fell in love with the elegance and old world feel of their product line. When I heard about their dream living room project I decided to create a mood board centered around one of their gorgeous sectionals. I created a design that reflected a grey, black and silver color palette. So, let’s get inspired shall we?
Sitting Pretty
I love the Old World British style of this tufted Wessex sectional. It is classy and the chaise lounge segment looks like a comfy place to relax with a good book or decorating magazine. You can check out their entire line of sectionals here.
Treasured Tabletops
Elegant lines and an aged look adorns this black rectangle coffee table from Arhaus’ Scarlett Collection.
I absolutely love the details of this Merle Oval end table. Placed on either end of the sectional it lends the perfect place for a couple of luscious lamps and accessories.
Lighting
Arhaus has a variety of gorgeous chandeliers. I fell in love with this Katherine chandelier and it blends in with the other elements of this “dream living room” beautifully.
This gorgeous Hana table lamp is embossed by hand with an antiqued silver electroplated finish in a leaf motif. This would look perfect on the side table.
Accessories and Artwork
No sofa or sectional would be complete without a few comfy pillows. With intricate hand-sewn metallic beading and metallic embroidery, a few luxurious Gilt pillows would look fabulous.
Velvety and beaded, this Royal Crown Pillow would compliment the sectional and Gilt pillows.
Inspired by real antiques, the Victoria Tray would be a perfect centerpiece for the coffee table. I envision it anchoring a collection of candles or vintage books.
This framed Paris map print would add another touch of European charm to this dream living room. This Parisian city map is reproduced from an original antique map dating back to the 19th century. Oooh-la-la!
Every time I make it into Raleigh’s Crabtree Valley mall I make a beeline to the Arhaus store just so I can go drool over their home furnishings line and see what’s new. They have a number of locations throughout the country but also offer many of their pieces online and via catalogs. Do you love the look and feel of old world elegance in your own home?
Thanks so much for visiting today.
Happy Decorating!
