Hi All,
I recently completed a project for a client and am so excited to share it with my Blogland friends. So, come on and take a tour of… A Cozy Sunroom Makeover!
A Cozy Sunroom Makeover Before:
My client spends most of her time in her sunroom, reading, crafting and watching television and really wanted it warmed up a bit. The room was a bit dark and cold with a lot of hard surfaces. The plastic folding table she was using as a desk/craft station was not giving the room any character at all either.
The small red glider on the other side of the sitting area really was not very comfortable or inviting.
I started out with a quick little upcycling project. Instead of tossing the old footstool I gave it a redesign. I removed the cushion and brightened up the base with a few coats of lime green paint.
I created a slipcover for the cushion using a fun, vibrant fabric that would add some life to the room.
A Cozy Sunroom Makeover After:
With the addition of a comfortable, new chair this footstool looks great! I lightened up the existing side table with a few coats of soft cottage green paint. Due to the size of the room we opted for a small reclining love seat. I made a few custom made throw pillows in the same fabric as the footstool for the chair and love seat.
The round patterned rug softens the tile floor, anchors the seating area and breaks up all sharp angles in the room.
I replaced the generic, unappealing plastic table with this gorgeous antique table and chair set my client inherited from a dear relative. She now has a cozy place to sit with a cup of tea, to read the paper or do a few crafts. AND it looks great too!
I added some new seat cushions to the chairs with the same vibrant fabric.
This sunroom was once cold and drab but is now very warm, comfy and inviting.
Doing this Cozy Sunroom Makeover was so much fun to design and I am happy to say my client now has a nice place to sit and relax.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
