Hello My Dear Blogland Friends,
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!
I love to bake but I just don’t have the time to bake from scratch much these days. When I do get a chance to do some baking I have to take the easy road. Today I want to share with you a delicious, easy Country Recipe for Easy Homemade Cherry Crumb Pie, perfect for a summer picnic.
Easy Homemade Cherry Crumb Pie Recipe
- One Premade Frozen Pie Crust Thawed
- One Can of Cherry Pie Filling
- One Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Softened Butter
- 1/8 -1/4 Cup Chopped Almonds (Optional)
Preheat oven to 425 Degrees
Place cherry pie filling into pie shell. To make the crumb topping mix the flour, brown sugar, almonds and butter together in a bowl until crumbly. Cover the cherries with the crumb topping. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until crust is brown and the juices are bubbling.
Tip: You can cover the with aluminum foil the last 10 minutes to keep the topping from over browning.
Remove from oven, allow to cool and enjoy! This pie is wonderful served warm with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream! The next time you are in the mood to do a little baking but don’t have a lot of time try this Easy Homemade Cherry Crumb Pie Recipe. If you are not a big fan of cherries you can easily substitute them with apples and use chopped peanuts instead of almonds. YUM!
Cherry pie is definitely my favorite type of pie and this recipe is very easy to make. I happen to love retro inspired Cherry Decor in a vintage style kitchen as well.
Cherries can add a touch of whimsy to a vintage style kitchen and I love when they are paired up with the color turquoise!
Thanks so much for visiting today! Stay cool!
