A Shabby To Chic Vintage Lamp Makeover With A Feminine Touch
Hi All,
I love revamping old lamps and have done quite a few of them recently. Today I would like to share another pretty vintage lamp makeover that turned out really sweet. I love vintage milk glass, especially vintage hobnail lamps. I found this one while out treasure hunting.
Vintage Milk Glass Hobnail Lamps are perfect for a cottage style home. I wanted to do something a little different with this little lamp makeover. I pulled out a can of my favorite petal pink spray paint and gave the base a few coats it. I wrapped the shade in a pretty floral fabric that reminds me of vintage barkcloth.
I trimmed the edges of the shade in gimp and added a couple of buttons to the seam to dress it up a bit and finish it off.
I love this sweet Upcycled Pink Hobnail Lamp and the shade just makes it pop. I can just picture it on a bedside table in a Shabby Chic inspired bedroom, perhaps a little girl’s room. This vintage lamp makeover was really simple and something anyone can tackle.
On Another Note:
One of the things on my “To Do List” for 2015 is turning my half of the garage into a clean, organized place to work. A proper design studio. Right now it is cramped and always an unorganized mess. Today I snagged a couple of base cabinets that were headed for the trash. My brother rescued them for me and I ran over to pick them up. I also stopped by my local Habitat For Humanity Resale shop and found some old shelving that will become a counter top for a mere $6. I am going to use them to create one of three work stations. This is the first step to keeping my New Year’s Resolution!
Have you started any of your New Year’s Resolutions yet?
Thanks so much for visiting today!
