Staging To Live… Decorating A Colorful Beach Condo Part 2

Hi All,
I know you have been sitting on the edge of your seats, chewing your finger nails just waiting to see how the rest of that Colorful Beach Condo turned out! So, without further ado..here it is!
Today we will be touring the second story of this colorful little beach condo. We will begin with the guest bedroom. This room is my absolute favorite room in the home. I had so much fun staging the space and it is one of the more dramatic “before and afters” of this colorful beach condo.
Beach Cottage Bedroom

As you can see it began as pretty much a blank canvas despite the beautiful walls of blue with purple undertones. I LOVE this color! The home owner created these cute little lamps made out of hand painted bouys. She placed them on each side of the bed which was a great idea.  The trouble was the side tables were way too low.

Beach Cottage Bedroom I dressed the bed in a fun colorful surf board comforter set and added a couple of cute stuffed fish I found stashed away in a closet.  I added a trio of  shell canvas prints above the bed.

Now, what about the issue with the side tables??? I brought up a cute surf board inspired table/cabinet from the living room and placed it beside the bed. It was a perfect night stand!

Beachy End TableThe problem was that there was only one of them. I decided to look for a second hand table that I could paint.  The home owner found this one at a thrift store and left it for me to work my magic on.

Beachy Bedroom I left the furniture arrangement as it was because it worked well. I added some fun accessories to the dresser and some artwork to the wall.

I even hung a surf board on the wall. The colors were perfect!

And the after. Some colorful towels, shower curtain and accessories…

Beachy Bedroom Before It seems a little cold and bare but with lots of potential.

And voila….

I swapped out the comforter set for this one. It set the tone for the rest of the room. I played off the navy blue when choosing my accessories and art work.

I didn’t have to do too much to the furniture arrangement again. I moved the little outdoor wicker table to the foot of the bed and shifted the dresser over a couple of feet because it was off balance.  Some new accessories…

This little vignette sits to the left of a set of sliding glass doors that lead to a relaxing porch. It’s the first thing you see when you enter into the room.

Before and After Beach Inspired Bedroom This is the master bathroom. It was painted in a very bright hot pink!

Adding some artwork and accessories toned down the color abit and grounded the room.

I think it is very cute!

I love what you did with these rooms! I’m doing a beach themed room in my house and I was wondering where you got that fun surfboard bedding!?

      Hi Samantha,
The homeowner purchased everything before she hired me so I am not sure where she bought it. Maybe try an online search?
