How To Have A Cozy Valentine’s Day With A Romantic Night At Home
Dear Friends,
With the Pandemic still in full swing and Valentine’s Day right around the corner it’s time to start thinking about how to celebrate safely. Our love doesn’t need to be measured by expensive dinners at restaurants, high end gifts that cost a fortune or dozens of over priced long stem roses. Sure all those things are nice but the focus of Valentine’s Day should be focused on spending quality time with our loved ones. This year, a romantic dinner out at some fancy restaurant may not be a great idea. We can still have a romantic evening at home.
So, how can you create a romantic evening at home?
Have A Romantic Valentine’s Day Picnic!
Stay in and just enjoy each other’s company with a picnic by the fire. Who said picnics are just for summer time? An indoor picnic can be just as nice! Create a lovely backdrop for your Valentine’s Day Picnic by laying a cute tablecloth or blanket on the floor. Dress it up with some pillows, pretty dishes, candles and a small bouquet of silk roses or fresh ones from your favorite florist or grocery store.
Cook a nice dinner or order takeout from your favorite restaurant. Open up a nice bottle of wine and enjoy some chocolates or a decadent dessert.
Cute dishes and stemware like these hand painted wine glasses can really dress up any meal, whether you’re having roasted pork tenderloin with black trumpet emulsion paired with a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon or homemade spaghetti and meatballs with a Chardonnay from the grocery store.
Having a fireplace to snuggle up in front of is a wonderful thing to have but what if you don’t have one? You can create the same feeling by lighting an assortment of candles around the room. Be sure to dim the lights and play some romantic music to set the mood for a perfect Valentine’s Day Picnic!
Finish up the evening with a good movie you will both enjoy. Celebrating Valentine’s Day at home can be done in many different ways. The most important thing to remember is the day is about embracing the love you share with your significant other.

Hello, i love the idea of painting my laminate floor, i call it the plastic wood!
I am wondering if you still would recommend doing it?
Thanks

Hi Lee,
Yes I do. If your floor is in bad shape painting it can’t hurt!
