Thanksgiving At Lisa’s…A Home Tour

posted in: Cottage Decorating, Holiday Decorating | 3

I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! I am a little late posting this but yesterday I was BUSY BUSY BUSY cooking and entertaining, and stressing a little. I love decorating for the Holidays, especially when I am hosting the event. Today I would like to share some pics of my tablescapes and decor.
I don’t go crazy decorating for Thanksgiving. I like to keep it simple….Christmas is another story.

My mantel gets dressed up  for Thanksgiving with the addition of a few pinecones, white pilgrim woman, turkeys, faux leaves and berries.

My formal Dining Room all gussied up!
The table is adorned with faux leaves, candles, vintage glassware and simple white ironstone plates.
I’ve placed my every day chicken and rooster candy dishes on the table as well as this vintage turkey planter floral arrangement. I love this guy. I made it a few years ago and he is my favorite.
Of course a little mercury glass votives for some sparkle. I have just started collecting mercury glass. I LOVE it!

My china cabinet gets a makeover as well.

I picked up this vintage turkey transferware platter at a thrift shop and knew immediately I would be keeping it. I have been looking for one for a while. It was a lucky find at $5.00.
My set of Johnson Brothers’ Freindly Village Transferware dishes find a home on my china cabinet from Thanksgiving through Christmas.
 Love this cute Turkey planter!
My breakfast room table also gets dressed up. We have a guest list of about 20 so I have people all over the house.

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Today I will be pulling out the Christmas decor and plan on going to get our Christmas tree before the rain starts!
Happy Holidays!!!!

I spy some Johnson Brothers dinnerware! It actually looks really pretty against your lighter colors with the contrast.
    Have a great day!

I loved looking at all of your dinnerware, such great stuff you have. I also like the pastel chairs, I'll bet they are particularly pretty and fun to work with during the warmer months.
