Quick and Easy DIY Halloween Ghost Prop

In preparation for this year’s Halloween Costume party I decided I NEEDED a couple of Ghosties wandering around our “Haunted Mansion”. I needed to come up with something to make that was quick, easy and CHEAP! My lightbulb went off and this is what I came up with…

I started out with some scrap wood I had in the garage, an old white sheet I got at my favorite thrift shop and a couple of bowls from the discount store around the corner.

I drilled a hole in the top of the bowls and in the center of the base.
Using simple wood screws I attached a 5′ 2X2″ board to the base and then screwed the bowl (upside down)to the other end.
I hot glued a scrap of batting to the top of the bowl and then glued the sheet on top of that. And Voila…
A simple and “spooky”  free standing ghost!!! I will have one hovering in the corner of the guest bathroom to “Scare the Pants” off my party guests  and one peeking out the upstairs window on Halloween night.  I plan on using an uplight and fan at the base of the ghosty for and eerie effect.
Stay tuned for pictures of my big event on Saturday night!!
Thanks for hopping over today!
