Pretty Places To Visit When Traveling To Europe

posted in: Travel and Sightseeing | 0

Today we will be taking a step away from decorating and exploring places to visit when traveling to Europe. I have been afflicted with a major case of Wanderlust now that my kids are older. My son is a young adult and my daughter will be graduating high school this year. If you have been following my blog for a while you may remember my recent post on my first trip to Europe and my day in Paris. It was amazing! I will be posting more about my trip and my time in Belgium in the near future. I have so much to share! I just found out that I will be able to accompany my husband again this coming October. I am so excited! I know we will be in Belgium again but we plan on doing some more exploring. I haven’t decided if I would like to go to Paris again to see more of this beloved city or perhaps see Germany. He is going to Germany in May and I cannot go with him. I am torn.

It is always a pleasure to talk to other writers who share the same passions as me. Recently, I was introduced to a new site and new friends at INSIDR.co. INSIDR is a friendly startup based in Paris that aims to make travel experiences amazing for those who have the travel bug like me. They provide so much information about traveling in Paris (yay!), but the interesting tips and recommendations they give are not limited to Paris or even just France. They have a wealth of information on several different European destinations on their website. Although I am completely in love with Paris and France, I do hope to see other places. Hmmm. Where to go first? Let’s explore a few pretty places to visit when Traveling To Europe.

Cruise Along The Canal in Venice

Grand canal Venice

Venice is well-known around the world for obvious reasons; the beauty of the city and the canals that can be found throughout it. You can go along the Grand Canal, which goes on for 3.8 km and is the main canal in Venice. In the southern base of the Grand Canal, you can find Piazza San Marco.

Lido is another place worthy of a visit; it separates the Venice Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea, and it is also known as the hippest resort island in Venice.

Denmark has been known as one of the happiest and most peaceful places on earth, and could be perfect for your next destination! There are a lot of things you can do in Copenhagen, ideally you can do it in around 3 days with this itinerary from INSIDR. Go to the classic Tivoli Gardens and walk along the old harbor of Nyhavn.

Explore Vesterbro; a district that was previously a red light district of Copenhagen, but is now a very hip area. Art lovers can spend time visiting the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. This museum takes around 35 minutes to reach from the center of Copenhagen, but it really is worth the extra travel time. Public transportation in Copenhagen is a great system so you can get anywhere without any trouble!
