You know how I LOVE redesigning old architectural pieces. Vintage window shutters are one of my favorites. They can be picked up for a few dollars at antique stores, thrift shops and if you are lucky enough, on the roadside.
Old shutters can be used for a variety of projects. The following is a shelf I created using a shutter and new lumber.
Two sets of shutters have been nailed together to create this one of a kind beach inspired table.
This is my latest creation…
I had this shutter in my garage already painted black. I gave it a quick coat of turquoise over the top and distressed it. I’ve added some hooks and will be hanging this in my entry as a coat rack. I love how it turned out!
Thanks for stopping by today!
