I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. Monday morning we hit the road for a trip to the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro. I have been wanting to go since we moved to NC 12 years ago. I figured it would be nice and cool in April before the Summer heat hit. Well I was wrong about that. The temperature soared into the high 80’s. We all got sunburn and my daughter’s face was as red as her shirt because of the heat. We still had a great time wandering around the zoo all day. It is over 500 acres and is filled with an array of wonderful animals, trees, flowers. It allows you to really get in touch with nature.
