Holiday Home Tour Linky Party!!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!
Today kicks off my first Holiday Home Tour Linky Party! Get ready to be inspired!

I have spent the past few weeks decorating for Christmas and I invite you in for a tour…

COME ON IN…
Welcome to my Livingroom!
Nobody can accuse me of being a minimalist especially at Christmas time. My style of decorating??? Vintage Christmas kitsch.I am drawn to vintage Kitschy Christmas items because they remind me of Christmas at Grandma’s when I was a kid.
My tree is adorned with vintage glass ornaments as well as ones I have created over the years and ornaments my children have made at school. Its is full of sentiment. Every year I try to give my kids an ornament that relate to what they are interested in at the time. Last year my daughter received one that had Guinea Pigs and my son got one with Wolves. I wonder what they will get this year??!!!
My mantel is not that much different than last year. I’ve changed it a little by rearranging a bit and adding white snowflakes and the red boot. I liked the design so much last year I decided to keep it.
I have a fascination with animated Christmas characters like this pair of vintage Telco Motionette Santa and Mrs. Claus. Can you beleive I found them at a yard sale for $15 for the pair?! I was so excited. I also just found a victorian girl for $5 and I bought Mickey Mouse for $3.50 at my favorite thrift shop.
Recognize the leg lamp? A Christmas Story is my ALL TIME FAVORITE Christmas movie. I think because it is a heartwarming story that takes place in the 1930’s. That movie has such character!
Welcome to my Dining Room…
My diningroom is a little more elegant than the rest of the house. I love the toile and my vintage dishware. I have a collection of vintage pressed glass serving dishes and they come on the Holidays. My china cabinet holds my collection of Christmas houses and my Johnson Brothers Friendly Village dishes.
My glittered reindeer sits proud as the table centerpiece.
I just created this paper Christmas wreath. It was my first ever and I love it. It was so much fun to make. I will be posting a tutorial very soon!
My cheerful breakfast room….
I love my vintage tablecloth!
My cabinet gets dressed for the holidays…
I had a Christmas Baking theme in mind. I love my collection of vintage winking Santa Mugs and Pitcher.
My other kitchen cabinet gets adorned with Country Snowmen. Cute!
Well, Thank you for stopping by today and touring my home for the Holidays.

Happy holidays! Your home looks so fun and festive. LOVE the leg lamp. Christmas Story is my favorite movie too. I have a "talking" leg lamp ornament that I bought from the gift shop at the Christmas Story house in Cleveland, OH. It says FRA-GIL- AY when you open the box : )
