My French Country Christmas Mantel

Hi Folks,

Today I would like to share a few photos of my French Country Christmas Mantel. Talk about waiting ’til the last minute! Christmas is just a few days away and here I am finally sharing my own Christmas decor. I have been finished decorating for a couple of weeks but with work and buzzing around Christmas shopping and all the other crazy stuff we need to do to prepare for the holidays, it wasn’t until last night that I got a chance to download my photos from my camera.

This year I decided to do my Christmas mantel in a French Country theme in a silver and white color scheme.

A French Country Christmas Mantel

I adorned my holiday mantel with sweet glittered Christmas Cottages, “snow covered” trees, vintage inspired snowmen and some upcycled mason jar lanterns. The mason jars were thrift store finds that I painted white, distressed and embellished with jute string and vintage ornaments. I can’t wait to see them lit up on Christmas Eve!

A vintage inspired silver glittered reindeer sits center stage. My “snow covered” pine cones have been a mainstay in my Christmas decorating for years. They work as great fillers when I need something a little extra to finish off a display.

The sweet white glittered ceramic Christmas Cottages started out as dollar store finds that I painted and sprinkled with glitter. I have also had them for years and felt they needed a new look. I love them in their white splendor.

I put together a French Inspired Christmas Garland for the mantel ….

I created two vignettes at the base of my French Country Christmas Mantel. The right side features a beautiful silver tabletop tree I bought last year, my favorite snowman, a piece from my mercury glass collection, a few vintage books and a snowbird.

And here’s the left side…

A candle holder, some mercury glass Christmas trees, a few more vintage books, a snowbird and hmmmmmm something else that looks a little out of place…

I was scanning through my photos when I noticed this little Faux pas. I remember when I was taking the photos someone kept getting in my way that I had to keep chasing off. I never noticed the squeaky ball in the shot! That little stinker! Lol.

A Christmas Display and My Jackabee Jingles

Did you notice the display on my coffee table?

Well, that’s my French Country Christmas Mantel. I really like it, and am especially fond of the little cottages. I try to change my mantel up every Christmas and have plans for a completely different look come next year.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Do you have a mantel? How do you like to decorate it for the Holidays?

Stay tuned for a few more Christmas photos!
