Country Living Inspired Spooky Halloween Tree

Hi Everyone!
Today I would like to share another Halloween decoration I’ve put up in my home. A few years back I was looking in Country Living’s Halloween issue at all the their decorating ideas. In one of the photos there was a charming black “Christmas” tree adorned with Halloween decorations. I Loved it!

I went out and found a small Christmas tree at a discount store, bought a few cans of black spray paint and went to town on my own version.

I bought a paper mache bucket from Michael’s that already had a vintage Halloween image on it. I filled it with plaster of paris and stuck the base of the tree in the center of the bucket and let it sit overnight to harden.

I bought some small glass Christmas ornaments from a thrift store and painted some black and some orange and tied a pieces of orange fabric to the tops. I also sprinkled them with a little glitter.
I created some tree ornaments from some vintage inspired Halloween Postcard images and topped the tree off with a black crow from Michael’s. I finished it off with a few other Halloween inspired trinkets, orange lights and silver bead garland.
And here is the finished product….
