And…What Did You Get For Christmas?

Happy Monday Everyone!
I’ve been neglecting my blogger buddies the past few days as I have been so busy with Christmas.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday filled with fun with family, delicious food and Christmas memories.
I had a bit of a bittersweet Christmas filled with good food, family and a few tears. We lost my Aunt (and Godmother) at the young age of 53 on December 2nd. She was VERY close to my heart and I miss her terribly. She is missed by everyone but it made me appreciate the time spent with family over the holidays even more. Life is so short and is always changing. We need to count our blessing everyday and not lose sight of what’s really important in our lives.
I don’t dream of the gifts I will get under the Christmas Tree as I did as a child but I thought I would share a few of the goodies my hubby gave to me this year….

I sent him my wish list from half.com and he bought me a bunch of Fleamarket Inspired Decorating books! If you haven’t paid a visit to half.com  and you love design books you really need to. They are run by the same people who created Ebay and you can get oodles of design books at awesome prices!
I have a new love in my life….MERCURY GLASS! He bought me these wonderful candle holders. I was very impressed he even found me an aqua one which means he has been paying attention at home. I have been on an aqua kick for over a year.
I mentioned I love vintage PUTZ houses and he found this vintage Church off the internet. Isn’t it adorable???
And the last thing I would like to mention is the wonderful 3 wick candles from  the Bath and Body Works store at the mall. I bought one a few months ago and have since fallen in LOVE with their line of candles by Slatkin and co.  My favorite one is Cinnamon Pumpkin I bought in the fall. They smell awesome, last a long time and they can fill your home with scent without being overpowering.
They run here at about $20 each but often have 2 for $20 sales.
They say its the “Thought That Counts” when it come to Christmas Gifts and I must say my husband had his thinking cap on this year as I love everything!
Hope you all found something under the tree that made your heart skip a beat!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Lisa– I'm sorry for the loss of your aunt. It must have been hard during such a joyful season.

Santa let me go to NYC and select some dishes from Fisher's Eddy! A discontinued Syracuse China pattern. I will post them on my blog, soon!

    Happy New Year,
    Loretta
