A Vintage Country Christmas at Lisa’s

Today I would like to open the doors to my home for a peek at my Christmas Decor. My holiday decor reflects my love of vintage and country styles.
After having and artificial tree for the past 9 years we opted to buy a real tree this season. I missed the fun of wandering around a tree lot and picking out the “perfect” one for our family. We decided on a small one that is just as cute as a button. Our tree is decorated with many handmade ornaments created by my children and “yours truly” over the years. I also have a love of old fashioned animated Christmas characters reminiscent of the ones found in department store windows.
My favorite display in my home this year is my fireplace mantel. I have decorated it with a wreath made of vintage christmas ornaments, a vintage style flocked Santa, jars and containers filled with vintage ornaments, figurines from our favorite classic Christmas shows and a vintage “Christmas with the Chipmunks” album. I grew up listening to these little guys at my Grandmother’s house during the holidays.

My kitchen gets a touch of country with a cabinet full of snowmen….

….and vintage Santa mugs.

My guest bath gets dressed in a Victorian Christmas village…

…and so does my dining room.

Yes that is a replica of the infamous “Leg Lamp” from my all time favorite Christmas movie “A Christmas Story”. This year it sits in my dining room window for all the world to see. I just love it!

Thank you for touring my home for the holidays and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
