A Creepy Halloween Decorating Idea

If you are hosting a Halloween party this year and are looking for some decorating inspiration you may want to try this one out. You can give your home a creepy look with some bloody slip covers made out of old bed sheets. All you need is some old white flat bed sheets, some red craft paint and an old ketchup bottle. If you don’t have a collection of old white sheets you can usually find a bunch at your local thrift shop for a couple of bucks.

Start by tearing a few holes in each sheet for an even more worn out look. Next take your sheets outside and lay them flat on the lawn. Go ahead and mix the red craft paint with water in your old ketchup bottle and shake it up really well. You can do one part paint to two parts water. Get crazy and start squirting the sheets with the paint mixture so it looks like blood splatter. The kids would love to help you with this! For an added effect, paint the palm of your hands red and stamp them onto the sheets as well. Let the sheets dry.

When the sheets are dry you can drape them over sofas and chairs for spooky slip covers, use them as tablecloths or even hang them up in your windows for creepy curtains. Your home will look like a zombie apocalypse has happened or Michael Meyers is on the loose. They are also a great way to protect your furniture from spills!
