Before and After Flea Market Furniture and Home Decor Redesigns
I am a die hard thrift store and flea market shopper. My passion is finding ugly pieces at mere pennies and recreating them into beautiful furniture and accessories any one would love to have into their home. Here are some photos of some of my fleamarket redesigns and custom orders.
A Rescued Rocker
A friend of mine pulled this off of a pile of debris ready to be set on fire. It was sad looking but made of solid wood and very substantial. New paint and new uhpolstery in a sweet gingham fabric gave this old gal a new life! It now sits in a little girl's cottage style bedroom.

With just a couple of coats of aqua paint and some light distressing this table goes from drab to fab!

This old chair was a $5 thrift store find and I think most people would say it's ready for the dump. I know my husband would! I thought it has great lines and potential. With some paint and some new fabric this chair goes from Shabby to CHIC!

This floor lamp had seen better days for sure. Just a coat of paint and a brand new "handmade by me" shade and it is better than new! Read more about this Floor Lamp ReVamp Here

This old diningroom chair spoke to me as I wandered through my favorite thrift shop. For $15 it became mine. I decided to go tropical with a soft green dry brush paint technique and a handpainted Flamingo. Ths indoor outdoor flamingo seat fabric was the icing on the cake! A client brought in a vintage rocking horse that was a family heirloom trhat had been tucked away for years. She wanted it brought back to life so she could give it to her Granddaughter. It came out as cute as can be and will hopefully make it to the NEXT generation!

I love revamping old lighting fixtures. I saw the potential in this old chandelier. A client came to me looking for a shabby chic style chandelier for her daughter's bedroom. Once painted, distressed and coupled with shade wrapped in cottage floral fabric it more than fit the bill. She loved it!

This $25 child's dresser had a couple of broken drawers. I removed the broken drawers, added a shelf, gave it a new paint job and skirted the shelved area. It is now a charming buffet that sits in my cottage style dining room. Read about this Repurposed Dresser Here.

I stopped in my tracks when I saw this antique chest of drawers when I was at a local indoor flea market. It needed some TLC but I loved the shape and scale of the piece. I got it at a steal for $20. I lugged it home and it sat in my garage for over a year. I finally painted it a soft white and distressed it for the "shabby" look I love so well. It now sits in my master bedroom.
