For those of us with a fondness for vintage, what retro inspired kitchen would be complete without a few pieces of brightly colored melmac dinnerware? I began collecting melmac dishes a few years ago. It reminds me of eating oatmeal and sipping homemade hot cocoa in the morning at Grandma’s when I was little. Every time I pull one of my melamine bowls from the cabinet I am reminded of those happy times as a child. But do we know how these wonderful dishes came about? This Weeks Flea Market Finds
Happy Monday Every one!Last week was a good week for hunting and pecking. I went to a few local thrift stores and on Saturday morning my daughter and I went looking for yard sales. This is what I found… I found this great vintage 1960′s chrome bread box at a thrift shop. I have one like it in my kitchen and love it. I came across some lovely vintage glassware and kitchen collectibles. A vintage oil lamp and some great embroidered pieces. The deal of the week was a box of this gorgeous blue transferware by Johnson and Bros. The whole box was only $5!!!!!!
