A Budget Friendly Cottage Dining Room Redesign..The Big Reveal!

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. We didn’t do too much this Independence Day. I spent most of the weekend painting my kitchen cabinets (more on that in a future post) and we also went and ordered a laminate floor for the livingroom. It looks like this weekend will consist of ripping up rugs, moving furniture outside, praying it does not RAIN and attempting to lay our own laminate floor down. Keep your fingers crossed! Extreme Makover! Thrift Store Diningroom Chairs Edition!

Hi Everyone, I have been very busy the past few weeks working on projects. I am in the midst of a design project and planning a huge yard sale but I wanted to take a few minutes to share my latest redesign with you. I’ve been wanting to swap out the chairs in my diningroom for quite some time. I created these toile  inspired slip covers about 6 years ago when we moved into our house. They were a nice cover up for the left over, cheap metal chairs I had  from a K-mart kitchen set we purchased years ago. "New" Cottage Inspired Lamp Makeover

I have been sprucing up my livingroom and needed a new lamp to go on the left side of my couch.I hopped on over to my local thrift shop and picked up this one for a mere $2.75. I liked the shape of it and it would compliment the lamp I have on the opposite side of the couch. (Pictures of that will be in a later post) I gave it a coat of silver paint and pulled a lampshade I’ve had sitting in my closet for months and covered it in a soft rose fabric embelished with ceramic rosettes I’ve had in my craft supply closet forever.
