Confederate Jasmine and Thrifty Finds

Hi All, Spring is in full swing here in eastern North Carolina but summer seems to be trying to move in this week. I woke up this morning to a sticky humid mess of a day. Needless to say the windows were closed and the air conditioning was turned on. My daughter is itching to go swimming and quite frankly I am not ready to give up the beautiful sunny days, temps in the mid 70′s and low humidity. As much as I enjoy living in N.C. I am not a fan of intense heat and humidity. Decorating Your Home For Spring

Hi Everyone! Spring has sprung!!! I LOVE Spring. Despite the huge amount of pollen in the air my windows are open most days. I thoroughly enjoy the fresh air and the melodic  sound of the birdies singing in the trees. It seems that the grass has magically turned green overnight and its time for me to start digging in the dirt again. These pretty Roses blossomed last year and I am looking forward to seeing them again this Spring. Their tender green leaves have already sprouted. Summer Blooms From My Cottage Garden…and a Sneak Peek!

Happy Wednesday Dudes & Dudettes! Its been pretty hot here in Eastern NC and we are pretty much in a drought . We’ve had one quick rain storm in the past two months or so. My grass is now HAY as it is all brown and crunches under my feet. I’d love to water but our water bill is too high as it is. I have however been dilligently tending to my gardens and would like to share some photos with you today. This is a shot of my back garden right off the back of the house.
