Hello Blog-world Friends,

Can you believe August is upon us already?! In just a few weeks my kiddies will be going back to school. My daughter will be starting middle school this year and to be honest, I am not thrilled with the thought of getting up at 6am. It is going to be a challenge for her as well. Neither of us are early birds.

So, before summer is over and we start thinking about pumpkins, witches and crisp, cool air I wanted  to talk about a decorating scheme that is very popular here on the coast of NC. FLIP FLOPS! Everywhere you go you see people wearing them. Well I am here to tell you they are not just for feet anymore. They have become a mainstay in beach style homes as part of the decor. Honestly, you don’t have to live near the beach to incorporate them into your own decorating scheme. There are tons of flip flop inspired decor items on the market and today I wanted to highlight some of them. Some items are from my shop, some are massed produced and others are one of a kind products created by fellow Etsians.

As you can see, flip flops have found their way into our homes in more ways than one!
