Well, It’s been awhile since my last post and boy have I been busy. After struggling with overhead expenses at the shop for quite some time I made the difficult decision to close the doors. I closed about 2 weeks ago and have downsized and moved into an Antique Mall just up the street.
While I miss meeting new people and chatting with my customers, I don’t miss all the stress. Having a space at the mall has been a wonderful compromise. The owner is wonderful and I still get to play “shop” without the huge expense and time commitment. My customers still have a physical place to go and shop but now I have time to actually go “treasure hunting” and I am tickled to spend more time at home. I am focusing more on my website and will be hitting the road and selling at a few local craft shows…something I couldn’t do before because I was always at the store. I am making the finishing touches on my space at the mall and will post some pics this week.
